Gin gwai (2002)
Director: Danny Pang
Cast: Angelica Lee as Wong Kar Mun (as Lee Sin-Je), Lawrence Chou as Dr. Wah, Jinda Duangtoy as Old Lady in the Hospital, Yut Lai So as Yingying, Candy Lo as Yee (Mun's Sister), Edmund Chen as Dr. Lo, Yin Ping Ko as Mun's grandmother, Florence Wu as Nurse, Wisarup Annuar as Dark Figure, Yuet Siu Wong as Ghost in the Hospital, Wing-Wai Chin as Hospital Caretaker, Tao Leung as Ghost on the Highway, Mylio Lau as Wah's Secretary (as Miyuki Lau), Ousinthorn Chotphan as Mun as a Little Girl, Dampongongtrakul Sawadee as Yee as a Little Girl
This flick has a similar premise to The Sixth Sense, but takes that premise
a little further down the road. Mun has been blind since childhood &
receives a corneal transplant from an unknown donor, with a few disturbing
side-effects. Just a few. I was riveted to the screen throughout most of
this movie, not only because I was busy reading subtitles but because I was
sucked into what was happening. This is an eerie and creepy movie, and very
well done, with a few surprising twists. Highly recommended, for fans of
foreign horror films.
