Amintiri din epoca de aur depicts a new interesting, original, unseen world for the westerns, and a lost, nostalgic world for the Eastern europeans. The action is set during the Communist period from Romania's history and presents the urban myths that evolved during that period.
The comic situations dominate and this is due to the "haz de necaz" spirit of the Romanians. It's a pretty good movie if you want to have an closer insight of eastern European communism.
